A Group of tourists approached our bookcase at citadel; many salesmen were trying to sell them souvenirs and kept waving to them but they didn’t wanna buy anything!

At first I didn’t understand why they didn’t simply tell the salesmen “no”, then I noticed that they were deaf n mute .. 🙂
I approached the man in the photo used hand signals to ask him where are you from and pointed at the flags we stick at the shelves of the books

He’s French … I pointed to the word that says free to let him know that I’m offering him these books about Islam as a gift
He seemed really happy and made a `thank you` gesture, and another woman from their group approached and said ( mica ..mica… Ngish)
I understood that she is an American and wanted the books in English so I gave them to her

They seemed to be really content .. I used hand signals again to ask the French man to take a photo with me ..
He was so happy and signaled me if he may put his hand on my shoulder .. of course I nodded welcoming!
Sure language barrier is one of the main obstacles that may face a a person who wants to deliver a message; but we are determined on finding a way.

This photo was taken at Ahlan’s Bookcase where we distribute free books about Islam to the tourists who honor us by visiting The Citadel of Salah El Din!
