The Message of Jesus (PBUH), let’s know it together! ^_^

“Mum, what is the meaning of the word “Christian”?

G was 15 years old when he asked this question; he knew the answer of course, but he wanted to check something.
His mother smiled and said, “Are you serious?” G replied, “100% serious.”
The mother answered “Ok. The word Christian means that I believe in Jesus Christ as God and that he is our savior.”

G said, “Ok. But I think this isn’t the appropriate meaning.”

His mother wondered, “Why?”
G clarified, “The meaning should be derived from the word itself “Christian”. It should mean “the follower of the Christ.”

“Ok”, his mother replied, “And I think it isn’t a big difference.”

“No, it’s a big difference. This meaning shows that we should follow what the Christ did, not what our belief in the Christ is. Building our belief by following him not by believing in him.”
His mother didn’t get it!
G continued, “I mean we should open the Bible and see the acts of the Christ to do like him. That’s what every follower of the Christ (“Christian”) should believe.”
His mother agreed, “Ok. It makes sense.”
G said to her, “So, I will open the Bible to learn about the message of Jesus.”

This idea got into G’s mind because of the many claims nowadays. Atheists in the west make every day many claims about Christianity. And Muslims claim that the message of Christianity is the same message of Abraham, Moses and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them all).
“Why don’t I read the Bible to know the truth?”

The Message Of Jesus

G decides to make an article about the true message of Jesus from the Bible. And he made these points under the name “Jesus Teaches me …”:

1- Jesus Teaches me to believe in One True God

nNow this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:3).

nGood teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”  Jesus replied: “Why do you call me good?  No one is good — except God alone.” (Mark 10:17-18).

nOf all the commandments, which is the most important?’  ‘The most important one,’ answered Jesus, ‘is this: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’” (Mark 12:28-30).

nThe God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus.”(Acts 3:13).

nWell said, teacher,’ the man replied.  ‘You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.’” (Mark 12:32)(NIV)

2- Jesus teaches me that he is a messenger from God:

nJohn 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me

nJohn 12:49  For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

nJohn 14:24  He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

3- Jesus teaches me praying to the True God

n42. He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”
43. When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy.
44. So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, SAYING THE SAME THING.” Matthew 26:36-44

nMen of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.” (Acts 2:22).

And he wrote many other notes.
What about you? Did you read the whole Bible before?
Did you try to know the reality about Jesus and Christianity?

Give yourself a chance! Now you know the Message Of Jesus
