10 Most Attractive Things About Islam

There are many reasons attracting people to revert to Islam, and worship Allah increasingly. Fortunately, here are 10

In Islam, there are many reasons attracting people to revert to it increasingly. Fortunately, Here are 10 of the most attractive ones!

1- Constant Direct Connection with Allah (Arabic for The One & Only God):

In Islam, there are no intermediaries between you and Allah.
Hence, whenever and wherever you are, you can easily directly speak to Allah Himself, for as long as you want.
No taking appointments, no waiting in line, no waiting for someone to facilitate or initiate the connection. Just direct connection between you and the King of the universe Himself!

Comparison

Imagine speaking directly with the Powerful, Beautiful & Mighty King, Creator and Sustainer of the entire seven heavens and the earth and everything therein!

If you were to speak to any worldly king, you’ll have to undergo a long procedure.

But with the Real Eternal King of all kings, there is just ease and mercy. Whenever you want, call upon Him. He listens and responds and He showers your heart, mind, and soul with His Unique mercy and peace.

And He never gets tired of you calling Him. If you call any important person or even your best friend 10 times a day, they’ll get tired of you eventually. But Allah LOVES when we call upon Him.

He says:

Call upon Me; I will respond to you.” [Qur’an 40:60] (1)

And He says:

Say, “What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication? …” [Qur’an 25: 77] (2)

And He says:

When My servants ask you [O Prophet] about Me: I am truly near. I respond to one’s prayer when they call upon Me. So let them respond [with obedience] to Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will be guided [to the Right Way].” [Qur’an 2: 186] (3)

2- Perfect & Beautiful Names of Allah & their Implications on Our Lives

The Perfect Names & Attributes of Allah are a massive source of peace, relief, awe, inspiration, reassurance, and empowerment for the believer. All Perfect Names & Attributes belong to Allah. Read about His Names. Anything you ever love or admire essentially comes from Him.

You love life, Allah is The Creator of life. Anything you love in life wouldn’t have existed if Allah didn’t create life. Allah is the One who brought everything into existence out of nothing.

In addition, you love beauty, Allah is the Ultimate Source of Beauty (Al Jameel), The Fashioner of anything beautiful you’ve ever seen in existence (Al Khaliq, Al Badee’, Al Mosawer). Also, You love power, Allah is the Ultimate Source of Power (Al Qawwy). Nothing and no one can overcome Him.

Similarly, you love knowledge and wisdom, Allah is the Ultimate Source of Knowledge, the All-Knowing, the Creator of all brains.  No one and nothing compares to His Knowledge and Wisdom (Al ‘Aleem, Al-Hakeem).

You love Majesty, Allah is The Ultimate King who never dies, to Him belongs the Kingdom of the Heavens and the Earth. The King of all kings (Al Malek).

You love “LOVE”,  Allah is The Source of love, The Most Affectionate, The Creator and Bestower of affection (Al-Wadud).

Additionally, you love forgiveness, Allah is the Continuously forgiving, the Acceptor of repentance ( Al Ghafoor, At-Tawab).

There is the Peak in Islam

He is the peak of everything you seek.

He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. (22)
He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. (23)
He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
[Qur’an 59: 22-24] (4)

Hence, when you explore the Names of Allah as He revealed them, they’ll fill your heart like nothing else.

3- Perfectly Clear Pure Monotheism (Oneness of Allah with no Partners)

Allah is One. Period.
He is not One, but…something else. There is no one before Him. No one after Him. Also, no one besides Him. Moreover, no one equals Him.
He is One. Unique One. In addition, He is not a man or a woman and there is NOTHING like Him in His Creation. That’s why He is THE GOD! Allah: The One & Only.

In addition, He does NOT need anyone. He is not overpowered or limited by anyone anything, time or space that He created for people in this world. It surely does NOT befit Him to be ‘inside’ what He created because He is above & beyond that.
Thus, it is an insult to think that He is inside the universe or inside the womb of a woman He created! Or to think that He had to eat and drink to explore the universe of the people He created and has perfect knowledge of!
He is above the seven heavens He created, it is beneath Him and not befitting for Him to be inside His creation. He can easily do whatever He wants without needing or having to be inside His creation.

As a result, if you want something, you go to Him alone. He is Perfect & Capable. That’s why He is God.

He alone we worship, and He alone we ask for help. We are not confused between many gods or different gods or different variations of god. One means one. Thus, there is no confusion.

Beauty of Pure Monotheism

Pure Monotheism (Tawheed) means that ALL perfect attributes belong to Him alone. He is the One we worship. Also, He is the One who provides us and shows us mercy and forgives and guides, and heals and responds to everything we need…..etc. We direct our neediness to Him alone.
We are not at the mercy of an incapable god, or a god who dies or is overcome by anything in His creation. He takes no orders from anyone. Decision & Capability belong to Him alone.

Indeed, in Islam we are not torn. We are focused and we are clearly guided to Him and assured by Him and we put our trust in Him and there is no one between us and Him and He took no son who would be closer or more beloved than us to Him! THIS is Mercy, and THIS is Love, and THIS is Power. All Praise belongs to Him.

And say, ‘All praise is for Allah, Who has never had [any] offspring; nor does He have a partner in [governing] the kingdom; nor is He pathetic, needing a protector. And revere Him immensely.’ ”  [Qur’an 17: 111] (5)

4- Clarity & Straightforwardness of Religion

Everything Makes Sense. Islam is the same message that all Messengers from the beginning of time have been teaching. All Messengers from Adam, Noah, Abraham, to Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad were Muslims, in submission to their Creator who sent them.

God is All-Wise, He doesn’t change His mind. He sent the same message of pure monotheism (Tawheed) with all Messengers. The message, in essence, is: worship your One and Only Creator; do not associate anyone with Him and follow the Messengers.

To illustrate, Allah sent revelations before like the Torah to Prophet Moses and the Gospels (Injeel) to Prophet Jesus (peace be upon them). However, these books were sent for specific people and not meant for all mankind, unlike the Qur’an (The last revelation). Emphatically, it is academically a known fact that these documents (Torah & Gospels) have been edited and altered, and their original forms are nowhere to be found today.

This is why Allah sent the last and final message, which is the Qur’an and it has been preserved in its original form, absolutely protected and memorized by millions of people around the world. This book is unrivaled. And it’s the Ultimate Proof for the Truth of Islam.

Essentially, everything in Islam has a purpose. It’s not just random orders. Whatever we’re asked to do, helps us grow and helps us connect with Allah and explore ourselves more deeply.

5- Countless Opportunities for Forgiveness & Rewards

Allah requires us to do a few things that are in our benefit, but He rewards us with much more than we can ever imagine or deserve. Here are just a few examples of how much rewards one could get for small acts and how many opportunities Allah opens for all the time.

Furthermore, Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said,

Allah says, ‘Whosoever intended to perform a good deed, but did not do it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as a complete good deed. And if he intended to perform it and then did perform it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as from ten good deeds up to seven hundred times, up to many times multiplied. And if he intended to perform an evil deed, but did not do it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as a complete good deed. And if he intended it [i.e., the evil deed] and then performed it, then Allah writes it down as one evil deed.’ ” [Al-Bukhari & Muslim] (6)

So One good deed= 10 to 700 times the reward.

Also, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

The five daily prayers, and from one Friday prayer to the (next), and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiations for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals); provided the major sins are not committed.” [Muslim] (7)

And He (PBUH) was asked about fasting on the day of Arafah (9th of the month of Dhul Hijjah). He replied:

Fasting on the day of Arafah is an expiation for the preceding year and the following year.”

He was also asked about fasting on the day of Ashura (the 10th of the month of Muharram). He replied,

Fasting on the day of Ashura is an expiation for the preceding year.”   [Muslim] (8)

Other Types of Generosity in Islam

Add to that the rewards of The Night of Decree/Power (Laylatul Qadr), Allah Almighty says:

The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.[Qur’an 97: 3] (9)

So, we get in one night the equivalent reward and blessings of worshiping for more than 83 years.

This generosity appears in this Hadith Qudsi where Allah Almighty says:

O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds in the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.”    [At-Tirmidhi] (10)

Indeed, This is Allah and this is Islam. It is a way of life where Allah calls us to action to teach us, benefit us, and purify us. Then, He rewards us far greater than we deserve. We’re not to hang our mistakes on anyone else. We are to take righteous action as much as we can, and Allah constantly forgives the mistakes and constantly multiplies the rewards. This is how one learns and grows with ease and mercy.

6- Beauty & Mercy of Prophet Muhammad

When you grace yourself by reading about the character of the last and final Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessing upon him) from authentic, credible, unbiased, unhateful sources, you’ll discover a man at a level of beauty, mercy, and greatness that leave you humbled and in awe.

To illustrate, the epitome of a beautiful worshipper, servant of God, leader, teacher, father, husband, and companion is in Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Ditch the false news and hateful propaganda, and read about him from original sources. From the lips of his companions, wives, those close to him, and his enemies at the time even.

He shows the peak of beauty that a human being can reach. The model to look up to.

What They Say about Him (PBUH)?

Here is a glimpse of what some global figures found:

George Bernard Shaw says:

I have studied him – the wonderful man and in my opinion, far from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Savior of Humanity. […]

I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it the much-needed peace and happiness.

I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which can make itself appeal to every age.”

Also, Reverend Reginald Bosworth Smith says:

He was Caesar and Pope in one; but he was Pope without Pope’s pretensions, Caesar without the legions of Caesar: without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a palace, without a fixed revenue; if ever any man had the right to say that he ruled by the right divine, it was Mohammed, for he had all the power without its instruments and without its supports.

More Testimonials

Thomas Garlyle says in Heroes and Heroworship,

The lies (Western slander) which well-meaning zeal has heaped round this man (Muhammad) are disgraceful to ourselves only…How one man single-handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades….A silent great soul, one of that who cannot but be earnest. He was to kindle the world, the world’s Maker had ordered so.

Michael H. Heart says in ‘The 100: A Ranking of The Most Influential Persons In History’,

My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world’s most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.

7- Brilliant Effect of Qur’an

The Qur’an is the miracle of all miracles. There is a momentary miracle that happens before a group of people and benefits them solely and exclusively. For example, parting the sea for the children of Israel was a miracle for them, but this won’t necessarily benefit you today directly or personally.

But there is, however, the miracle that gets Divinely preserved from the minute it was revealed until the end of time, thus acts as a renewable source of guidance, healing, satisfaction, awe and inspiration to all people at all times.

This is the Qur’an, the greatest of miracles. This is how men and women from different walks of life, ethnicities, cultures, backgrounds find personal peace and guidance and healing and light and purpose through the Qur’an whenever they sincerely reach out to it, and this remains with them and grow with them throughout their life journey. It never seizes to teach them, and they never seize to find what they need in it.

Say, ‘If the sea were ink for [writing] the words of my Lord, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even if We brought the like of it as a supplement.’ [Qur’an: 18:109] (11)

This tells us that the wisdom of Allah and His knowledge are infinite. One will never seize to find wisdom, knowledge, connection, mercy and healing through the Qur’an.

8- Holistic Guidance in Islam

Islam is a complete way of life. It doesn’t leave you confused. It gives a blueprint for living life in a pure, God-conscious, and satisfactory way. The five pillars of Islam – in their very essence- provide a perfect plan for the journey of growth, commitment and closeness to the Creator. Everything prescribed as acts of worship in Islam is essentially connected with actualizing our purpose in life.

Moreover, the understanding of the Shahada (testimony of faith), gives a sense of direction, focus and a plan (there is One God, and this is how to follow Him).

Prayer is a connection and communication; we recite the words of Allah, listen to His Words, and then speak to Him in dua. We take breaks five times a day from the hustle and bustle of this life to peacefully connect with the Source of Peace, and get reminded of our Destination.

Also, in Ramadan, we fast to learn how to control our physical being and focus on our spiritual being.

We give charity “zakat” which comes from the word “purification,” because it is a purification of our wealth and our hearts.

Further more, we go to pilgrimage (Hajj) where people from all backgrounds gather to worship their One and Only deity and remember that they are all equal, they come from the same Source and to Him they will return.

In short, everything instructed has a purpose. When we follow that with contemplation, we feel at peace and life becomes meaningful and worthwhile. Satisfaction comes with knowing our purpose and connecting with Allah and striving for the eternal Paradise near Him.

9- Bond between the Believers in Islam

The bond between believers is stronger than blood. Muslims all over the world are brothers and sisters. When you become a Muslim, you automatically get 1.9 billion brothers and sisters from all backgrounds around the world.

To illustrate, when you go to Hajj (pilgrimage), you’ll find people from all races, ethnicities, nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds. Despite all the differences, they all stand together in worship; smiling, crying, talking even if they don’t know each other’s languages. Like one family and one body.

Allah says:

The believers are but brothers, so make reconciliation between your brothers and fear Allah that you may receive mercy.” [Qur’an 49:10] (12)

Also, He says:

The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give charity and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have mercy upon them, for Allah is Almighty and Wise.” [Qur’an 9:71] (13)

And the Prophet (PBUH) says:

The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, and fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.” [Sahih Muslim] (14)

10- Complete Peace, Serenity, Tranquility & Satisfaction Filling Heart with Islam

Finally, Islam, the state of submission to the Creator gives a unique, unrivaled sense of peace.

As a matter of fact, recent German research has found that “ Muslim people feel the most satisfied with their lives because they feel more ‘oneness,’ or connection [with their Creator] than people of other faiths.”

Just like Allah said:

Those who believe and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.”   [Qur’an 13: 28] (15)
