Why Do People Discriminate Against Gays? – Gay & LGBTQ Discrimination

Is it possible to discriminate against homosexuality? Homosexuality is a subject matters discussed and judged by moral standards.

Discrimination is an injustice that no one tolerates, as Allah (God) is the All-Just and doesn’t Judge unfairly even if it is a grain of sand!

But is it discrimination to hold a moral conviction?
Is it possible to discriminate against a behavior?
Is it possible to discriminate against gays or gay behavior?

That’s what we will find out today.

Note that the notion of being “born that way” will not be taken into account as it has already been addressed in other articles showing it is just a myth and nonsense.

What is discrimination?

Discrimination is the unjust treatment of different of people because of such difference.

Why Do People Discriminate Against Gays?

Now, you may ask, is it possible to discriminate against homosexuality? However, the question itself is wrong as behaviors, like homosexuality, are subject matters discussed and judged by moral standards.

Thus, to answer the question of, can we make discrimination against gay, we have to consider the following:

  1. Is morality discrimination?

No, obviously not! Holding a moral conviction is just and fair, not discriminatory. In fact, adopting the right moral standards is the very definition of justice!

To clarify, the limits that a country or a society sets on the wrongdoers aren’t unjust or discriminative! Punishment for a crime isn’t discrimination! That’s called law, right?

It’s irrelevant that the wrongdoers are (people) and (humans) just like us! That’s completely irrelevant, isn’t it? After all, this is about what they did and being a human is not a free pass to do whatever we want without regard to anything!

Similarly, looking at behavior as just “difference”, and trying to make it subject of discrimination exposes the root fallacy hidden in this way of thinking. Behaviors are the subject of morality not discrimination.

  1. Behaviors are not discriminatory

Actions and behaviors aren’t discriminatory by their very nature. Instead , actions and behaviors are the subject of moral judgment.

Holding people accountable for their actions can’t be called discrimination.

  1. Discrimination is a behavior

Discrimination itself is a behavior. Thus, giving a moral judgment on a behavior cannot be considered discrimination, as behaviors are not discriminatory as mentioned before.

One may say: Isn’t standing against discrimination a moral judgment?

Yes. Standing against discrimination, as any upright person does, is a moral stance in itself.

Condemning discrimination, having laws to prevent it and punishing the “people” doing it, is just another moral judgment.

  1. Disagreement over moral rules VS discrimination

Disagreement on a judgment is an entirely different case than discrimination.

The moral reference, that gives the bases for moral judgments, is a different case but an important one, and here Islam has the higher hand over all secular ideologies.

Man subjective changing opinion can’t be the source of an objective moral judgment. Only Allah (God) can set rules that transcends men and restrict them with objective moral values.

Follow the ways of men or follow the way of God.
When it comes down to it, this is the case of judging gay behavior at its essence.

Is it possible to discriminate against gays?

No, it isn’t possible to discriminate against gays.

After we looked at the full picture mentioned in the previous part, that fact is clear.

Homosexual behavior vs. discrimination behavior Against Homosexuality

Condemning gay behavior is similar to condemning discrimination. what’s needed for both is being intolerant towards them, forbidding them and having punitive laws against them.

Both are behaviors that are subject to moral judgment.

There is no sense in saying (Anti-gay discrimination) more than there is a sense in saying (Anti-discrimination discrimination)!

Once we remember that simple fact, that gay behavior is a behavior and an action, all of the erroneous reasoning trying to justify it falls apart!

Whenever you come across LGBT propaganda, just ask yourself: Will this ever make sense to justify a different behavior?

If not, then why would it justify gay behavior?!

Why would it make sense to say “LGBTQ discrimination” and not “Killers discrimination” or “Liars discrimination” or “Pedophiles discrimination”?!

Gay discrimination facts

Gay and lesbian discrimination, and all of the cases claimed to be discriminatory are simply forgetting those simple facts discussed before in detail:

  •  Behaviors are the subject of moral judgment not discrimination.
  • As gay behavior is a behavior, it is subject to moral judgment not discrimination.
  • Having a moral conviction and judgment is not discrimination.
  • Thus, there is no such a thing called “discrimination against gay, anti-gay discrimination, or even homosexual discrimination.

Now you can understand why the questions like, why are gay discriminated, or why do people discriminate against gays, are just a fallacy.

Is doing gay acts similar to being black?

No, gay acts aren’t similar to being black. Gay behavior is NOT a skin color.

Homosexuality is a behavior, a willful behavior that people can chose to do –regardless of what they like and don’t like-.

No one is born gay, even if what’s meant by the word is the simple desire. There has been no proof that such a thing is a valid hypotheses, and its only supported by propaganda.

We have already looked in details at how the gay gene that was the cause of this notion turned out to be just a modern baseless myth. And we also looked at how fallacious it is to argue using animal behavior.

Gay behavior is just another behavior

Can killing be okay because animals do it? Would stealing be okay because it isn’t done to us and we have to look the other way?
Should we be silent because thieves have loud voices?
Can we accept raping because it is just another form of “love”, and love is love!?
Can we tolerate violence because the violent are human too?
Is discrimination okay because the only choice they made is to be who they are?

Is it okay for a sadistic person to torture you or your father or mother because he is born that way?
Is suicide okay just because they aren’t hurting anyone else?
Can we say  “just let them be, they don’t need your help” and didn’t ask for it!?
Is drug use okay because they are just doing what they “LOVE” and “it’s about them not you”?
Is what the Nazis did from oppression of other races okay because it was the “Politically correct” thing?

Is being a “contributing part of society” a “relative” “a friend” “a genius” “a doctor” or whatever a free pass to do whatever?

Why not? And what makes gay behavior any different? It is just another behavior!

Conclusion: Mind your language

Words shape perceptions. A lot of perceptions regarding gay behavior is deliberately steered by LGBT propaganda, by controlling the language used to describe it.

If the previous question was framed (is being gay similar to being black) it makes the listener subconsciously lean towards saying yes, because it uses the same verb (being).

But when mind the wording (Is doing gay acts different from being black)
the natural difference becomes apparent even in the wording of the question itself, and thus the answer that might have been confusing before become so clear.

This is just one example of many.

Mind your language as words shape perceptions.
