The Man Of The Storm

I was shocked when I knew that some think that the prophet Muhammad is a liar. Dear reader,

I was shocked when I knew that some think that the prophet Muhammad is a liar.
Dear reader,

I’ll consider you as the judge and me as a lawyer talking to your instinct that rejects injustice.
I wish you to be neutral, just, check my evidence and put prejudgment and assumption on a far side.
I won’t list everything, but I’ll pick up some specific points that proof logically Muhammad’s truthfulness.

The Past History of Muhammad Before His Message:

Early historical sources on the Prophet Muhammad’s life illustrate that he was known even by the enemies to his message as the “trustworthy and the honest” (1)

1- we accepted the honest
Once Makkan faced an issue that tribe will lay the black stone

(stone that was valued by Arab)  in the holy kabbah (God’s house), they had decided that the one who entered the holy kabbah first will fulfill the duty. Next morning Prophet Muhammad entered the holy kabbah first, everyone was happy to see him. They were happy to see that truthful and honest person will lay the black stone in the holy kabbah and they said “we accepted the honest to judge between us”.

2- We have not experienced any lie from you
The Messenger of Allah set off till he climbed Safa ( mountain in Saudi Arabia) and called loudly: Be on your guard! They said: Who is it calling aloud? They said: Muhammad. They gathered round him, and he said: O sons of so and so, O sons of so and so, O sons of ‘Abd Manaf ( famous tribe in the Arabian peninsula), O sons of ‘Abd al-Muttalib (famous tribe in the Arabian peninsula) , and they gathered around him.

He (the Apostle) said: If I were to inform you that there were horsemen emerging out of the foot of this mountain, would you believe me? They said: We have not experienced any lie from you. He said: Well, I am a warner to you before a severe torment. [Sahih Muslim]

One whose nickname was “the truthful, the honest” How could he lie concerning this great mission!!

If He Lies, Then What Is the Purpose?

No wonder that someone lies to gain benefit or avoid harm, but it seems illogic that someone lies to be harmed. The prophet Muhammad suffered much to deliver the message of Islam. Quraysh (the tribe of the prophet Mohammed) was against him and thought that he would leave his message by some offers, but he rejected.

The number of the prophet’s followers increased daily, Quraysh chose to stay at the other end of the spiritual spectrum and therefore, ‘Utbah, the old and wise aristocrat of the Quraysh consulted them to negotiate with the Muhammad, so that he might give up his mission.

‘Utbah said, “My Nephew, if you want to have wealth by what you preach, we will collect enough of it that you will be the richest of us. If you desire honor, we will make you our chief and leave every decision to your choice. If you aspire for kingship, we will recognize you as our monarch. And if you are possessed of a ghost for whom you have no remedy, we will find a competent physician for you and spend our wealth lavishly until your health is completely restored.”
Muhammad listened patiently. When ‘Utbah had finished talking, he asked him, “Is it all that you have to say”? , to which ‘Utbah replied “yes”.

The prophet recited him some verses of Qur’an.

Ha, Meem. [ this is ] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful –

A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur’an for a people who know,

As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear.

And they say, ” Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working “

[Quran/41/1-5]

After listening to these verses, Utbah returned to Quraysh and said “I have heard a discourse the like of which I had never heard before. I’ll swear to God, O Quraysh, that it is neither poetry, nor spells, nor witchcraft. Take my advice and leave this man alone.”

Now, all worldly offers were offered on him and also they would cease harming him.
Then why might he lie?!! For what purpose?!!.

All Types of Harm and He Is Patient for His Mission:

Once the heads of Quraysh were sitting together and talking about prophet, Al Nadhr bin Al-Harith the most experienced of them all said: “O people of Quraysh you are not able to find any plan to meet the calamity that has fallen upon you. In your presence Muhammad grew up from childhood to maturity. Now when he has presented these things to you and has grown to maturity you say he is soothsayer, a mad man, a magician and poet. By Allah! I have heard his Message; he is none of these things. A new calamity has fallen upon you.”
Significantly, he was persecuted for his beliefs;
1- After the great position Muhammad got almost between all the people of his city before the message, they subjected him to verbal insults and physical aggression. They laid thorns in his way and threw garbage and dust on him.
2-Once he told them he’s messenger of God, he was accused of being a liar, cheater, copying from other religions, magician and poet. All the talk about his honesty and trustworthiness evaporated.
3- Uqba bin Abi Muayt, A man who used to humiliate prophet bringing utensils of camels and throwing them on back of prophet while prostrating. He also tried to kill him.
4- After the death of his uncle Abu Talib, Muhammad’s life was then on danger, because his uncle was highly respected among Quraysh  and he was his defender against his enemies. Therefore, the prophet left for Taif ( a neighboring town to Mecca ) with the hope of winning them over to Islam. Instead of accepting his message, they refused even to listen to him. He was so much pelted at with stones that his whole body was covered with blood, and his shoes were clogged to his feet.

Really, I wonder if there’s someone who lies and was subjected to all these types of hurt, simply he would cease.
But the person who affords all this must be honest and have a true message to sacrifice for delivering it.

Revise Yourself:

Four years after the death of Justinian, A.D. 569, was born in Mecca, in Arabia, the man who, of all men, has exercised the greatest influence upon the human race… To be the religious head of many empires, to guide the daily life of one-third of the human race, may perhaps justify the title of a Messenger of God.(3)
This is a man because of whose efforts and suffering, we are now Muslim. Because of this man, we know Allah, and know how to pray to The One God.
Finally, dear reader, if you still think he isn’t a true prophet, you should revise yourself and read more about his biography to know the secret that billions follow and love this successful man.
The secret can’t be just a lie.
