God Love for Human Beings: How & Why?

God Love for Human Beings: How & Why?

Does God love human beings, how or why does God love them? Muslims believe that God (Allah) sent

I was haunted by this question for a while. Does God love human beings, how or why does God love them? As it’s a controversial question, what are the criteria to find the correct answer for it? As a Muslim, I believe that there is no room for not finding answers to such questions. Muslims believe that God (Allah) sent prophets to humans by His revelation to guide them for their happiness. In other words, Muslims depend on revelation; emotions don’t work all time to depend on.

Source of Finding Answers for Our Questions Is Revelation

At the beginning , Since the most accurate place to find an answer for my question is the book of God Himself, I decided to go directly to Qur’an, God’s book sent to His last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). There is no way to find sincere happiness and tranquility away from Qur’an. Indeed, Qur’an helps the humans to find the perfect answers to existential questions. Also, Qur’an helps humans to know more about their past, present and future. Qur’an gives us the answer based on a balanced rational, psychological and emotional way.

God Love between Islam & Christianity

In Christianity, you don’t have to pay something for fulfilling God’s love; there is another one other than you already paid the price. Thus, do whatever you want; you are in the safe zone! In contrast, Isalm principle is:

That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another”  [Qur’an, 53: 38] (1)

If you need God’s love, you have to prepare your soul and exert effort to achieve this honor. It’s not rational to exert effort to let another human love you, while you deal with your Creator in a careless way in this context!

God Speech in Qur’an Illustrates Love & Guidance

Throughout Qur’an, we can find many Names, Attributes, Descriptions and Deeds of God. they tell us whether directly or indirectly about God’s love. Also, one of God’s Names is the Affectionate. This Name means that God loves His creation, so He grants them his graces. Consequently, they love Him.

Different Styles for Love Illustration in Qur’an

There are many styles used in Qur’an to convey mercy and love. God creates man and knows the most suitable speech for him. One of the best styles is the story technique. One-third of the Qur’an is stories that tell us about different topics to help us to reach happiness. Some of them are for good people to follow, while others are for bad ones to avoid their way. Also, there are some stories for animals, birds, and insects to reflect on.

Also, there is the style of telling the reward and the description in detail for the future of good people in the hereafter. Adding to that, there is another style of warning as not all people have the same mentality to respond. For this style that shows mercy and love, we can see this example. In A’l Imraan Chapter, God tells us about a specific situation in the hereafter, as a kind of warning for us to prepare ourselves for this hard situation.

God says:

The Day every soul will find what it has done of good present [before it] and what it has done of evil, it will wish that between itself and that [evil] was a great distance. And Allah warns you of Himself, and Allah is Kind to [His] servants.” [Qur’an, 3: 30] (2)

Do you notice the end of the Verse; “And Allah warns you of Himself, and Allah is Kind to [His] servants” ? It’s full of love and mercy.

Does Everyone Deserve Love & Guidance?

In this context, it’s worthy to mention that God sent Qur’an to humans to guide them to their happiness in this life and hereafter. However, some of them insist on being arrogant and deaf. Thus, Qur’an won’t reach their hearts. It’s only for guidance and happiness seekers. Just open and read without prejudging to achieve the goal. God says in Qur’an:

And We send down of the Qur’ān that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.” [Qur’an, 17: 82] (3)

What If God Loves You?

Simply, if God loves you, your soul will be at the peak level of tranquility; the true pleasure of life. Even if you face some trials or hardships, because you are still in this life as a test not in paradise, you will be tranquil and satisfied. Also, you will win guidance in your choices in this life. Moreover, God will answer your supplications and meet your needs.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) says:

If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel, saying, ‘Allah loves so and so, O Gabriel love him’ So Gabriel would love him and then would make an announcement in the Heavens: ‘Allah has loved so and-so therefore you should love him also.’ So all the dwellers of the Heavens would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on the earth.” [Hadith] (4)

Conclusion

To conclude, God loves those who sincerely seek guidance and salvation through His Book, Qur’an. God doesn’t love the unjust. The worst kind of injustice is polytheism as “associating (others with Allah ‘God’) is surely a great injustice.” Thus, it’s time to announce your salvation and to be a Muslim.
