The Wisdom of God ‘Allah’

Why are kids born with an innate belief in God?- Why did God create us & send the

In part one, the story of God, we see how God tested His creatures in the first exam of obeying Him and how each one dealing with the exam in a different way:

Different Reactions towards God Commands

Iblees, one of the Jinn, was like angels before the creation of Adam. Indeed, Iblees was with them when God commanded the angels to prostrate before Adam. But when Iblees was tested by God, he was arrogant and became one of the disbelievers.

Also, Adam and Eve were tested when God forbade them from the forbidden tree. But Iblees whispered to them to disobey God like him to take what is seemingly more beautiful. In contrast to Ibless, they corrected their disobedience by repentance to God. God accepted their repentance and inform them that Iblees is an enemy and untruthful.

In this part, we will try to answer these questions which help us to see the wisdom of God:

– Why are kids born with an innate belief in God?
– If God knows everything before we do it, why did He create us?
– Why God sent the Prophets and Messengers to tell us about Him but not let us look at Him directly?
– When will this world end?
– What will happen in the hereafter?
– Will we look at God directly?

Why Kids Born with Innate Belief in God?

And ˹remember˺ when your Lord brought forth from the loins of the children of Adam their descendants and had them testify regarding themselves. ˹Allah asked,˺ “Am I not your Lord?” They replied, “Yes, You are! We testify.” ˹He cautioned,˺ “Now you have no right to say on Judgment Day, ‘We were not aware of this.’ ” [Qur’an 7: 172] (1)

The Messenger Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

Allah, the Blessed, the Exalted, created Adam. Then He stroked his back with His right hand, and progeny issued from it. He said, “I created these for the Garden and they will act with the behavior of the people of the Garden.” Then He stroked his back again and brought forth progeny from him. He said, “I created these for the Fire and they will act with the behavior of the people of the Fire.” A man said, ‘Messenger of Allah! Then of what value are deeds?’ The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, answered, ‘When Allah creates a slave for the Garden, he makes him use the behavior of the people of the Garden, so that he dies on one of the actions of the people of the Garden and by it He brings him into the Garden. When He creates a slave for the Fire, He makes him use the behavior of the people of the Fire, so that he dies on one of the actions of the people of the Fire, and by it, He brings him into the Fire.’ “ (Hadith) (2)

And The Prophet also said,

Allah will say to the person who will have the minimum punishment in the Fire on the Day of Resurrection, ‘If you had things equal to whatever is on the earth, would you ransom yourself (from the punishment) with it?’ He will reply, Yes. Allah will say, ‘I asked you a much easier thing than this while you were in the backbone of Adam, that is, not to worship others besides Me, but you refused and insisted to worship others besides Me.” ‘ (Hadith) (3)

If God Knows Everything Before We Do It, Why Did He Create Us?

In Qur’an, God says:

So, know ˹well, O  Prophet,˺ that there is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Allah. And seek forgiveness for your shortcomings and for ˹the sins of˺ the believing men and women. For Allah ˹fully˺ knows your movements and places of rest ˹O people˺.” [Qur’an 47: 19] (4)

Yes, Allah created us and knows everything before we do it. But Allah will not account us by His previous Knowledge never. He will account us by what we did actually, not by His previous knowing. His previous Knowledge does not cancel our free will in what we do. In fact, this is out of His justice.
So there were two receivers of angels to receive and record, one on the right (to record man’s good deeds) and the other on the left (to record man’s bad deeds) of man. The man does not utter any word without having the receivers to observe and record.

Why Did Allah Create Us And Create This Life?

Allah created us to worship Him with our choice and to know Him by all the tools that can help us to know Him. So we can worship Him using our hearts and minds, but that cannot happen except through the exam of this life.

Why God sent the prophets and messengers to tell us about Him but not let us look at Him directly?

That is Allah—your Lord! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. ˹He is˺ the Creator of all things, so worship Him ˹alone˺. And He is the Maintainer of everything. No vision can encompass Him, but He encompasses all vision. For He is the Most Subtle, All-Aware. Indeed, there have come to you insights from your Lord. So whoever chooses to see, it is for their own good. But whoever chooses to be blind, it is to their own loss. And I am not a keeper over you.” [Qur’an 6: 102- 104] (5)

No one of Allah’s creatures can see Him by eyes. However, only they can see Him by their hearts and minds. Allah made the seeing of Him by eyes as the maximum prize for people of paradise in the hereafter after the end of life exam.

But that doesn’t contradict the fact that some of Allah’s Prophets talked to Him directly without seeing Him as Adam, Moses, and Muhammad. Because of Allah the Almighty Greatness, no anyone can see Him. Only those who worship Him with sincerity can win looking at Allah in the hereafter in paradise.

The Messenger Muhammad said:

Allah, the Blessed, the Exalted, said “I have created My servants as one having a natural inclination to the worship of Allah but it is Satan who turns them away from the right religion and he makes unlawful what has been declared lawful for them and he commands them to ascribe partnership with Re, although he has no justification for that.’ (Hadith) (6)

When Will This World End?

They ask you ˹O Prophet˺ regarding the Hour, “When will it be?” Say, “That knowledge is only with my Lord. He alone will reveal it when the time comes. It is too tremendous for the heavens and the earth and will only take you by surprise.” They ask you as if you had full knowledge of it. Say, “That knowledge is only with Allah, but most people do not know. [Qur’an 7: 187] (7)

The Messenger of Allah says:

The Hour will not begin until the sun rises from the west (i.e. the place of its setting). When it rises, the people will see it, and everyone on (earth) will believe, but that will be at a time when faith will not benefit anyone who did not believe before.” (Hadith) (8)

Also,

Allah’s Messenger came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-slides in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly. (Hadith) (9)

What Will Happen in The Hereafter?

Allah in the Noble Qur’an said:

They have not shown Allah His proper reverence—when on the Day of Judgment the ˹whole˺ earth will be in His Grip, and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified and Exalted is He above what they associate ˹with Him˺! The Trumpet will be blown and all those in the heavens and all those on the earth will fall dead, except those Allah wills ˹to spare˺. Then it will be blown again and they will rise up at once, looking on ˹in anticipation˺. The earth1 will shine with the light of its Lord, the record ˹of deeds˺ will be laid ˹open˺, the prophets and the witnesses will be brought forward—and judgment will be passed on all with fairness. None will be wronged. Every soul will be paid in full for its deeds, for Allah knows best what they have done. [Qur’an 39: 67- 70] (10)

As for the final return for the good and the evil, the Chapter continues:

Those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in ˹successive˺ groups. When they arrive there, its gates will be opened and its keepers will ask them: “Did messengers not come to you from among yourselves, reciting to you the revelations of your Lord and warning you of the coming of this Day of yours?” The disbelievers will cry, “Yes ˹indeed˺! But the decree of torment has come to pass against the disbelievers. It will be said to them, “Enter the gates of Hell, to stay there forever.” What an evil home for the arrogant! And those who were mindful of their Lord will be led to Paradise in ˹successive˺ groups. When they arrive at its ˹already˺ open gates, its keepers will say, “Peace be upon you! You have done well, so come in, to stay forever.” The righteous will say, “Praise be to Allah Who has fulfilled His promise to us, and made us inherit the ˹everlasting˺ land1 to settle in Paradise wherever we please.” How excellent is the reward of those who work ˹righteousness˺! You will see the angels all around the Throne, glorifying the praises of their Lord, for judgment will have been passed on all with fairness. And it will be said,1 “Praise be to Allah—Lord of all worlds!” [Qur’an 39: 71- 75] (11)

Will We Look at God Directly?

On that Day ˹some˺ faces will be bright, looking at their Lord. [Qur’an 75: 22- 23] (12)

Also, It was narrated that Suhaib said:

The Messenger of Allah recited this Verse: ‘For those who have done good is the best reward and even more.’ Then he said: ‘When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, and the people of the Fire enter the Fire, a caller will cry out: “O people of Paradise! You have a covenant with Allah and He wants to fulfill it.” They will say: “What is it?” Has Allah not made the Balance (of our good deeds) heavy, and made our faces bright, and admitted us to Paradise and saved us from Hell?” Then the Veil will be lifted and they will look upon Him, and by Allah, Allah will not give them anything that is more beloved to them or delightful, than looking upon Him.'” (Hadith) (13)

Conclusion

To conclude, we should know that Allah is our Creator and we are just His servants. Allah does what He wants at any time and in any way. Actually, we shouldn’t say why He does so or does not do such. We just should say: “We hear and we obey. We seek for Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the final destination.
And we should also know that little knowledge can turn some of us to be atheists but deep knowledge can turn all of us into good believers.
