Everyone Story

One day he decided to travel by train a long journey. He enjoyed his journey. He also faced some difficulties; but finally when he arrived at the station, something strange happened. He didn’t know what he wanted, and he started wondering, why am I here! This story is similar to many stories we live in our world. We live till we arrive at the station of death. Some don’t know why they live and what’s after death.

Simple Questions

What will happen at the end? Have you ever asked yourself: “Why am I here”? Am I here for a mass fame, to be the richest person, to have the most beautiful partner, or to play music? Well, but what about the end? What’s there after death?

Simple Answer

You’re here for a reason. You have a deep profound meaning for your life. When you know this meaning, you will feel the real happiness. The deep meaning is to know Allah and worship him.

And I didn’t create the jinn and mankind except to worship me.”     [Qur’an 51:56](1)

What does worship mean?

Worship mean everything that one says or does for the pleasure of the One God. It’s the total submission, obedience and thanking God. Islam looks at the individual as a whole.

Say, ‘Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.’     [Qur’an 6:162](2)

Moreover, it governs all facts of life. To illustrate, this includes, but not limited to, moral, spiritual, political and economic issues subject to a set of laws derived from God. The inner world of a person who worships is settled and stable. He won’t feel depressed or hopeless when he faces obstacles and difficulties.

Such are the ones who believe (in the message of the prophet) and where hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Surely in Allah’s remembrance do hearts find rest.”     [Qur’an 13:28](3)

What’s there after the death?

It is illogical to reward the criminal and the pacemaker with the same ends: death. Justice is a main concern in Islam. Thus, one day a person will receive back whatever good or bad he does.
God says:

Or do those who commit evils think we will make them like those who have believed and done righteous deeds – [make them] equal in their life and their death? Evil is which they judge.”      [Qur’an 45:21](4)

Furthermore, in the Day of Resurrection, the dead will be raised to life again for judgment by God.

Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and great reward”     [Qur’an 35:7](5)

This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned…”     [Qur’an 40:17](6)

Islam is the code of life

Islam says that you can eat, drink and enjoy your life. Yet, don’t forget that this world will finish one day, and that you can’t live here forever. Islam gives details about every aspect of life. Thus, one can live the worldly life in the best manner and win a great position in hereafter.

Whoever does righteousness, weather male or female, while he is a believer- We will surely cause him to live a good life, and we will surely give them their reward [in the hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do.”     [Qur’an 16:97](7)

The whole life is a trial and test by which your final destiny is determined.

To conclude

All the profound questions are answered in the Qur’an. When you become God-conscious, you will find yourself clearly. From the first human being and prophet -Adam- to the last prophet -Muhammad- the message to mankind hasn’t been changed. All prophets called to worship God; the Only True God.

O mankind, worship your lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous.”     [Qur’an 2:21](8)
