How many Ayats in the Quran?
There are different opinions provided by the Islamic scholars for the specific number of ayat in the Quran. According to these opinions, the total number of ayat is 6204, 6014, 6219, 6225, 6226, or 6236.
Still, their difference is mainly numerical, i.e. how to count the ayat; not out of difference in the content itself.
What is The First Quranic verse (First ayat of Quran)?
The first verse revealed to Prophet Muhammad PBUH was:
“Read, ˹O Prophet,˺ in the Name of your Lord Who created—created humans from a clinging clot.” (96:1-2)
Still, the arrangement of the final construction of the Quran is different from that of revelation. Indeed, revelation is concerned with building the first Muslim community in accordance with the events they faced; it was revealed gradually. Rather, the final construction is the final arrangement suitable for anyone reading the Noble Quran after the completion of the revelation.
Thus, the first verse in this final complete revelation that you find when you open the Quran is:
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
All praise is for Allah—Lord of all worlds. (1:1-2)
What is The Last Quranic verse (Last ayat of Quran)?
The most famous view of Muslims scholars for the last revealed verse is verse (2:281):
‘Be mindful of the Day when you will ˹all˺ be returned to Allah, then every soul will be paid in full for what it has done, and none will be wronged.” (Q, 2:281)
Still, there are different opinions presented by Muslim scholars in this regard since there is no direct authentic narration reported by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stating the last verse revealed him. Rather, the scholars’ views represent what is strongly assumed to be the case and what circumstantial evidence indicates.
Moreover, the verses stated may be based on the last thing that one narrator heard from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and someone else heard something that was revealed after that, and the first one did not hear [what was revealed later] because he was not present, and the revelation [of more verses] came down after that.
The most popular opinions are:
1.The verse of Forbidding Usury (2:278)
2.Verse (2:281) abovementioned
3.The verse of Debt (2:282)
Actually, all these three opinions can lead to only one since all of them are successive. Every narrator may refer to them partially using only one verse of the group.
4. Verse (5:3) of the Quran:
“Today I have perfected your faith for you, completed My favour upon you, and chosen Islam as your way.” (Q, 5:3)
5. Verse (4:176) of the Quran:
They ask you ˹for a ruling, O Prophet˺. Say, “Allah gives you a ruling regarding those who die without children or parents.”
There are other opinions as well. Overall, learning about the last verse revealed is not obligatory and the Prophet (PBUH) didn’t explain or make it obligatory to know about it.
What is the most powerful and famous verse in the Quran?
The greatest verse in the Quran is Verse (2:255) known as Verse of Throne (al Kursi). Allah Almighty says:
Allah! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He ˹fully˺ knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge—except what He wills ˹to reveal˺. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.
(Q, 2:255)
The evidence for that is what was narrated that the Prophet PBUH asked one of his companions one day, “do you know the verse from the Book of Allah which, according to you, is the greatest? I said: Allah and His Apostle (ﷺ) know best. He again said: Abu’l-Mundhir, do you know the verse from the Book of Allah which, according to you, is the greatest? I said: Allah, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal.” (Muslim transmitted)

Are you asking yourself where is God in my life? Indeed the Lord is near; He wants to Listen to all your demands right now, just go to Him and He will answer.

Allah Says in the Quran:
He said, ‘I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you do not know.’ ” [Qur’an 12:86]
You don’t have to complain to your friends, brother, sister or even your mother; just say all your sufferings to God. He is better than the closest persons around you.

3) What’s the nature of this life? – Quranic Verse [Qur’an 57:20]
Allah says in the Quran:
Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children – like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.” [Qur’an 57:20]
Don’t let this present life deceive you. We are all running after the fancy life that is full of money, cars, homes, villas, children and many other luxuries, but guess what, all of that will turn into yellow like the dead plants so soon. God is telling you and me that this life is not permanent. In brief, you should think of your everlasting life in the Hereafter rather than a deceiving worldly life.
4) Don’t despair! – Quranic Verse [Qur’an 12:110]
Allah says in the Quran:
[They continued] until, when the messengers despaired and were certain that they had been denied, there came to them Our victory, and whoever We willed was saved. And Our punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals.” [Qur’an 12:110]
Be sure that the light of victory comes after the darkest moments and the hardest situation. Even prophets and messengers faced many problems. Actually, they also felt weak and helpless at certain times, even though God saved them as they believed in Him.

Believers are always in tests by God. For example, if you decided to lower your gaze and not to look upon women, you will meet a very gorgeous girl who offers herself to you! Likewise, if you decided to quit smoking or drinking alcohol for the sake of God, your best friend will invite you to a party just to drink! Definitely, All the time God is testing your belief to reveal whether you are a true believer or you are saying what you are not doing!

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.” [Qur’an 2:155]
There must be something that you worry about. In other words, something that you’re afraid for like your future, your career, your family, and your health. Maybe you lost a lot of money or one of your family is has a chronic disease or even you lost your close friend in a terrifying accident. But, the big question here is “Will You Have Patience?” Indeed, patients are always the winners.
