Is LGBT allowed in Islam?
No –LGBT acts and behaviors contradict Islamic teachings. LGBT beliefs and teachings are also contradictory to Islamic beliefs.
Allah (God) is ordering Muslims to keep Islam pure and not to mix it with any other ways, beliefs, or ideologies. Muslims affirm a clear distinction between the way of Islam and any other way.
Allah says:
Quran chapter 109
“Say, “O You disbelievers, (1) I do not worship what you worship, (2) nor do you worship what I worship. (3)I will never worship what you worship, (4)nor do you worship what I worship. (5)You have your way, and I have my Way.””
Is sexual diversity from Islam?
No –The term Sexuality is not an Islamic term, Islam speaks about the sexual relationship between a man and a woman.
Sexuality and how it is coined by the west became more of a synonym for lust. Islam teaches us that we aren’t animals that should follow our lust blindly. God gifted us with a mind and a will, in order for us to discipline this lust, and enjoy it only in its proper place.

Are There LGBT rights in Islam?
LGBT rights are an alien concept to Islam. In Islam, rights are defined by God, not men. People can’t declare random things and claim them to be their rights. From this simple principle, Islam only acknowledges Islamic rights that define Sharia law (Law of God). All rights of all living things have been elaborated in the Law that God has set for us.
Is LGBT haram in Islam?
Yes, the homosexual behavior is forbidden by God, and choosing to change one’s gender is also forbidden by God. Both are counted by God as major sins. Regardless of which Islamic source is used, this is a matter of unanimous agreement.
Is there any harm in letting LGBT do what they want?
Yes! Laws are made to preserve society. People should order each other to enjoy the good and forbid the evil. Bad deeds and actions shouldn’t be left unchecked.
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him gives the following analogy to emphasize the importance of that:
[Sahih Bukhari]
“The example of the person abiding by Allah’s order and restrictions in comparison to those who violate them is like the example of those persons who drew lots for their seats in a boat. Some of them got seats in the upper part, and the others in the lower. When the latter needed water, they had to go up to bring water (and that troubled the others), so they said, ‘Let us make a hole in our share of the ship (and get water) saving those who are above us from troubling them. So, if the people in the upper part left the others do what they had suggested, all the people of the ship would be destroyed, but if they prevented them, both parties would be safe.”
Homosexuality in Arab Muslim countries
Homosexuality has been a hot topic in western countries; they debated extensively about it until they reached their own conclusions. Yet, somehow, westerns don’t allow the same to be done by anyone else!
Muslims were watching and hearing but we have our own conclusions. The west only wants to project their own opinions and conclusions on everyone else. No one can question, discuss or have a different conclusion or opinion!
–Not even regarding their countries and laws? Yes! Westerns reply arrogantly!
This rotten supremacy complex that’s deep rooted in western mind has caused countless injustices and death all over the world through slavery, wars, colonize and many other forms.
Crusades, colonialism, modern wars and propaganda is the situation. For centuries long, the west has been obsessed only with how it can force Muslim countries to follow whatever they tell them, by any means necessary.
Fanatical Christianity has been changed with fanatical LGBT; not much else is different.
The fact of the matter is, Muslim countries are for Muslims. Others can set their own laws in their own lands. This attitude will only make the chasm between the east and the west wider.
Before wanting to impose western beliefs and laws on Muslim countries, they should first think of listening to Muslims, understanding their point of view, discussing with them the matters, and more importantly, accept that they can disagree. Simply, it’s irrational to impose something on others while they don’t accept.
Why is homosexuality forbidden in Islam?
There are two main reasons for forbading homosexuality in Islam:
- Rejection by Islamic sources:
There are multiple sources we can look at to know an Islamic ruling, none of which include having LGBT or concepts that are alien to Islam as reference.
There are three primary sources that are unanimously agreed to be sources for Islamic rulings: Quran (Word of God) – Sunnah (Teaching of the Messenger) – Ijma’ (Consensus of Muslims). All of which highly forbid homosexuality.
- Moral corruption affecting whole life:
Islam sees homosexuality and any other sexual deviance as corruption to such structure.
Homosexuality keeps one’s mindset highly concentrated on lusts and desires, feeding them all the time with abnormal and unnatural acts to keep their pleasure at its maximum level all the time.
So instead of being focused on his purpose in this world, and what is asked of him to do; he’s more focused on how to feed his body not their soul, turning him into the most materialistic version of humankind.
Can LGBT make nature, science and Quran say what they like?
No! We have to follow the truth even if we don’t like it; the truth doesn’t follow what we like.
“Evidence Before Belief”
This is a primary Islamic Principle.
Muslims search for the truth, they look into the nature Allah created, and the book Allah sent down to find Truth and follow it.
LGBT look into them to shove their own narratives on them in the name of modernity!
Everyone should search for the truth then follow it, not make it up then follow it!
Does Islam have a punishment for homosexuality?
Yes –Islam has put a harsh punishment for homosexuality, to ensure that such action doesn’t spread in the community.
Is Islam clear on homosexuality?
Yes –Islamic teachings are very clear.
- In Quran Allah says:
“And Lot when he said to his people, “Do you commit such Fahishah )obscenity) as no one has preceded you with? 80
Qur’an (7:-8180)
Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people.81”
- In Sunnah the Prophet teaches:
Ibn Abbas narrated that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
If you find anyone doing as Lot’s people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done.” [Source]
- In Ijma’ (Consenses):
Muslims for millennia have had a consensus that such acts are outlawed by Islamic law and are among the most deviant acts anyone can commit. None has ever argued that it shouldn’t be lightly punished, let alone leaving them and it was unthinkable to say that such deviance is okay. The disagreement was only in the form of punitive punishment.
Allah says in Quran highlighting the significance of Ijma’:
وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصْلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيرًا ١١٥
“And whoever defies the Messenger after guidance has become clear to them and follows a path other than that of the believers, We will let them pursue what they have chosen, then burn them in Hell—what an evil end!”
(Source)
Is Homosexuality punishment against human rights?
No –there is no human right that dictates leaving people to do whatever they want and not punishing them. If that were the case, then all laws in all countries are against human rights. Gay behavior is a behavior that people do. It is not skin color or race! people have a lot of disagreements on which behaviors are okay, but at the end, every country can set its own laws.
Relation crime and punishment:
Allah is the All-Just, not only does He hold the power to punish whom He will, His punishment is always Just, He doesn’t punish anyone who doesn’t deserve punishment, and the degree of His punishment reflects the severity of the crime. That is Justice.
Allah says in the Quran:
جَزَآءًۭ وِفَاقًا
“a fitting repayment,”
(Quran)
Those who take Allah as their enemy, get taken as enemies by Allah. Those who take Allah as their ally, Allah takes them as His allies. Those who plot against Allah, Allah plots against them. Those who ignore Allah, Allah ignores them. Those who remember and mention Allah, Allah mentions them. and so on, “A fitting repayment” That’s Allah’s Justice.
What is the punishment for the people of Lut?
When the divine punishment came to the criminals committing obscenities, they were the only people who got punished in multiple ways at the same time. Their eyesight got sealed, and stones rained on their heads, while the angel Gabrial lifted their city on his wing, and flipped it upside down! Such a severe punishment reflects the real weight of their actions.
In the Quran, Allah brands them by the name “Al-Mu’tafikat” which is a bit heavy Arabic word, that means “The flipped”. The name has a double meaning, referring to how they flipped their nature and regressed their senses. And also, how they got punished by having their city flipped upside down! It’s “A fitting repayment.”
Isn’t sexual desire natural?
Yes. –Islam acknowledges the natural desires of sexual attraction between opposite sexes, which have been hardwired in us. And it also teaches us how to deal with these desires in a manner in which we are in control of them not them of us.
Even if something is natural that doesn’t mean we should do it without any moderation or manners. Islam teaches us that going to the restroom has manners, eating and drinking has manners, sleeping and waking up has manners, our interaction with other people has manners, our discussion or general talk has manners and of course fulfilling our sexual desires has manners.
Is homosexuality natural?
No. No matter how you look at it, from the standpoint of Islam, science, or common sense, homosexual desire isn’t natural.
A sexual relationship is means of reproduction-the natural attraction that happens between a man and a woman for that purpose. That nature is corrupted and deformed if one manipulated it to seek same-sex relationships. It goes against the nature which Allah created.
Regardless of all the noise and logical fallacies that the LGBT spread by its propaganda, what is obvious will always be obvious and neither Islam, science nor common sense will ever endorse corruption of nature.
Is there a cure for homosexuality?
It’s an observed fact that homosexuality isn’t a stable or constant thing. Oftentimes those who say they have homosexual desires would say that they didn’t have it at some point, and also often times many people who once identified as gay say they don’t have that desire anymore. (Check The springer twin study)
If the deformation and restoration of the natural desire can happen without intention, there is nothing that stops it from happening intentionally. Obviously, there are causes that affect our desires, and the modern environment plays a major role in this with all its different elements.
Have there ever been cases where someone was treated from homosexuality?
Yes –there are many researches that happened in that area and even showed observed results. (Check ABCnews reference) Yet, unfortunately, that was only faced with outrageous abuse and cancellation by the LGBT lobby.
This is one of the places where the most detrimental effect of the LGBT is shown, where they erect a massive wall of censorship on science and research to hinder any results that conflict with their beliefs.
Is there a harm in homosexual behavior?
Yes – Even though in Islam harm isn’t the absolute reference by which things are deemed okay or not, the reference is Allah and His judgment, the detriment of homosexual behavior can’t be neglected.
harms of homosexuality exist on so many levels:
On a mental level, with mental harm to the person himself, the highest rates of depression and even suicide is among those suffering from homosexuality.
On a Physical level, where the highest rates of STDs are observed. On a familial level, homosexual behavior destroys the family with the deformation it does to the nature of the person.
On a social level, there is a detrimental effect to the spread of degradable acts as well as countless diseases caused by homosexual behavior.
Add to all that, the most detrimental effect of all. The harms caused by the LGBT to science, facts, truth, the beliefs of the people and the rulings of Allah.
The mindset that thinks that all this should change and be reset to match whatever they dictate. That’s the most dangerous and detrimental effect of the LGBT.
Repentance for Homosexuality
Allah opens the door of repentance saying in the Quran:
“those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture – those are cursed by Allah and cursed by the ones who curse (159) Except for those who repent and correct themselves and clarified. Those – I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful.
(The Quran)
