A man asked the Prophet (ﷺ) “What deeds are the best?” The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “(1) To perform the (daily compulsory) prayers at their (early) stated fixed times, (2) to be good and dutiful to one’s own parents, (3) and to participate in Jihad in Allah’s Cause.”

Let me introduce you to 12 of the Good Deeds Allah Loves:
1. Performing Salah (prayer) on time.
The previous hadith mentioned that praying on time is one of the best deeds with Allah, making sure it is done properly and in its correct form. Praying at the beginning of the prayer time shows how much the Muslim values it and how important it is to them.
2. Goodness to parents
Numerous verses in the Quran state clearly that Allah urged us to be good and kind towards our parents, including the following verse from Surah Luqman:
“And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.”
Therefore, being kind to parents is seen as one of the most important and godly deeds. And honoring parents is equivalent to thanking Allah Almighty, who linked parental goodness with His oneness.
3. Continuity in doing good deeds
Muslims must continue their good deeds and not give up. ‘A’isha reported God’s Messenger as saying,
“The acts most pleasing to God are those which are done most continuously, even if they amount to little.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)
One of the best deeds that a Muslim is recommended to continue performing is obligatory. Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as stating that God has said, “If anyone is hostile to a friend of mine, I have declared war against him. No one draws near to me with anything dearer to me than what I have made obligatory for him.

5. To remove harmful objects from the path
The benefits of clearing a pathway of harmful objects are amazing! Narrated by Abu Hurayrah, Allah’s Messenger peace be upon him said:
‘While a man was going on a way, he saw a thorny branch and removed it from the way and Allah became pleased by his action and forgave him for that.’ [Al-Bukhari; the Book of the Adhaan]
The idea and desire to do good are to be responsible for this; By preventing harm from happening, this is a means for society as a whole to work together.
6. Calling for Islam
Spreading the Islamic message is One of the things that Allah loves the most. Allah Almighty said in His holy book: And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, “Indeed, I am of the Muslims.”

7. Benefit people
Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection.
8. The remembrance of Allah (Zikr)
There are numerous verses in the Quran that urge us to remember Allah (Zikr). Such as:
- “And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.
- “the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.”

9. Good morals

“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often.” (Surah Al-Ahzab Ayah 21)
10. Fasting and spending the night remembering Allah
Fasting in Islam is one of the great acts. As Allah loves both of these 2 acts, The servant’s bond with their Lord strengthens by them. Additionally, the soul becomes schooled to avoid becoming attracted to worldly pleasures, guard against sins, sense Allah’s presence, and achieve happiness in both this life and the next.
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) told me, “The most beloved prayer to Allah is that of David and the most beloved fasts to Allah are those of David. He used to sleep for half of the night and then pray for one third of the night and again sleep for its sixth part and used to fast on alternate days.”

11. Thanking and praising Allah consistently
Being constantly grateful for the blessings that God Almighty has given you is one of the traits of the believer who seeks God’s happiness. This is due to the fact that the servant is aware of how much this good deed weighs to Allah.

Following in the footsteps of those who have attained Allah’s pleasure, and those whom Allah mentioned and praised in His Holy Book, such as the doers of good deeds and faith, as it is one of the qualities of the seeker to obtain Allah’s Almighty pleasure.
God Almighty not only commanded righteousness and forbade wrongdoing, but also referred to the Islamic nation as the best of nations for Enjoining good and forbidding wrong.
“You are now the best people brought forth for (the guidance and reform of) mankind.88 You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.” Al-Imran 110.

What does it mean to do good deeds?

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I am only a man like you, ˹but˺ it has been revealed to me that your God is only One God. So whoever hopes for the meeting with their Lord, let them do good deeds and associate none in the worship of their Lord.”

How to get your good deeds accepted?
1. Faith in Allah

2. Absolute faith in Allah
It is also necessary for the acceptance of a good deed to be sincere in it to Allah alone and no one else. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Almighty Allah says, ‘I am the One Who is most free from want of partners. He who does a thing for the sake of someone else beside Me, I discard him and his polytheism..”
3. Following our prophet peace be upon him
Allah Almighty says in his book : “And who is better in faith than those who ˹fully˺ submit themselves to Allah, do good, and follow the Way of Abraham, the upright? Allah chose Abraham as a close friend.”
Which refers to sincerity and following the prophet Mohamed peace be upon him.
